Artisan Series

Seasonal Wonders

Our Artisan Series ciders represent products distinguished by the rarity or on/off-year nature of the apples used (looking at you, Kingston Black!) Though often small by volume, our Artisan Series ciders are always big on personality - and represent many of our most distinctive, well-loved offerings. Look for Artisan Series ciders in select PNW grocery stores, bottle shops, at our downtown Spokane taproom, or purchase online.

Brown’s Apple

English Style

Noticeably pink from the apple’s red flesh, this single-varietal cider’s pleasant, bittersweet nose leads to baked apple, strawberry, stone fruit and burnt sugar flavors. Like all Liberty ciders, this offering is wild-fermented, dry and fruit-forward, showcasing the wonders of lovingly-grown, Inland Northwest apples.

Suggested Pairings

Enjoy as a sipper, or with charcuterie and chèvre; apple-glazed pork; grilled vegetables or bread pudding.

Columbia Crabapple

New World Style | Batch 1.22

Developed in the late 1800s, Columbia Crabapples were bred to survive harsh Canadian winters. Ours – grown in the warm Yakima Valley – yield a cider offering honeysuckle aromas and rich flavors including Meyer lemon, honey and buttercream. Crisp and refreshing!

Suggested pairings

Enjoy on its own, or with charcuterie and chèvre; apple-glazed pork; or baked brie.

Finished Gravity = 1.007 (Dry)

Manchurian SV

Apéritif cider

Manchurian Crabapples are tiny (cherry sized) but pack a huge flavor punch. This unique cider offers a full-bodied, intensely-flavored experience like a port wine or French Pommeau (but without the added brandy). Black cherry, vanilla and mandarin orange flavors dominate, complimented by bold tannins and crisp acidity.

Suggested pairings

Enjoy on its own or as a apéritif/digestif with Stilton or blue cheese, flan, or rich, creamy desserts.

Finished Gravity = 1.016 (Semi-Sweet)

Widdershins

Pommeau (Apéritif) | Batch 1.22

Our version of French Pommeau, this wondrous apéritif begins with Manchurian crabapple juice blended with apple brandy (from 2-Loons Distillery) to arrest fermentation and retain sweetness. Barrel-aging softens and harmonizes notes of cinnamon, black cherry and vanilla. A must-try, especially for Port wine fans!

Suggested pairings

Enjoy on its own as a digestif, or pair with soft artisan cheese, flan, roast chestnuts, or rich, creamy desserts.

Finished Gravity = 1.024 (Sweet)
